Welcome to my practice
For years, I’ve been inspired to help people find clarity, improve focus, and develop healthy self-esteem so they can have more meaningful, productive lives. I’ve learned that people want to actualize change, stop feeling “stuck”, be empowered, and to work with someone who is authentic and relatable. It’s important for me to create a space without judgement, to promote individuality, and to remove that invisible veil we can sometimes feel with strangers. I offer therapy in a way that is warm, honest, direct, yet safe and encouraging.
Many of us are looking to improve the way we live, how we relate to others, and better understand ourselves. The process of therapy can help create that space to do just that, all while helping you build confidence, increase self-awareness, and learn effective coping skills.
If you are looking for a dynamic change and personal growth, I invite you to work with me. I want you to feel seen, be understood, and experience connection as you do some of the hardest work in your life. If you need help, and if things you’ve tried before are no longer serving you, what are you waiting for? Let’s talk!
More About Me
Apart from being a therapist, I’m a mom to a very spirited 5 year old who was conceived through IVF. She keeps me quite entertained (and exhausted - let’s be real). My husband and I go through many of the same parenting battles as everyone else and we’re always wondering how other people do it. Kobe, our cuddly Shih-Tzu, is in the process of becoming a therapy dog. One day very soon, he’ll be my future coworker!
When I’m not working, you’ll find me doing what every parent of a 5 year old does: trying to survive and maintain a functional home. I enjoy watching comedy shows, indulging in skincare and makeup, doing arts and crafts with my mini me, and going to dinner with my girlfriends. Every week, I tell myself to go to yoga but, in all honesty, it’s a hit or miss. Most evenings are spent doing homework, debating with my child to take a bath, and trying to get a moment to connect with my husband (except when there’s a Laker game on).
I am the daughter to Korean immigrants; my dad is a retired missionary who wishes he was in the PGA and my mom still works as an insurance agent. My little brother, Eric, is a First Lieutenant in the National Guard and works as a physician’s assistant. I’m trying to find him a girlfriend. Spread the word.
As a therapist, I do my best to show up as authentically as possible. My priority is for us to establish a genuine connection because without trust and safety, progress can only go so far. I truly believe that therapy is a like conversation with a purpose. My job is to help you navigate the terrain, be witness to your efforts, and be there when you celebrate your wins.
Therapy is a journey of self-discovery and growth, where you are embraced as you are and gently challenged to actualize the change you’ve been wanting. It’s time to stop wondering if you’re ready for therapy. The time to begin is now.
